Gonna party like its not 2004
Not wanting to wait for the results of the presidential election the following night, Caring Community held its annual benefit dinner at Tribeca Rooftop on Desbrosses St. on Nov. 1. Among the attendees were the Our Lady of Pompei Group, above, and Paula Zanzu, below, left, who used some hats given away in gift bags to comic effect on Lynne Brown, senior vice president of New York University. Was the elephant-like appearance a foreshadowing of the next days election results? Caring Community provides meals and day programs in community centers for senior citizens in the Greenwich Village area at Our Lady of Pompei Church, First Presbyterian Church and at its Washington Sq. N. headquarters and in Tribeca at Independence Plaza North.
