Blues on the pier

Koko Taylor, “The Queen of the Blues,” above, was among the top acts performing at the Hudson River Park Trust’s Fifth Annual Blues Barbecue and Fireworks Festival last Sunday at Pier 54 at W. 13th St. For anyone who came to the pier actually feeling blue, the combination of soulful music and delicious barbecue was a sure-fire pick-me-up.
