This Girl grabs All the Men!” read an ad for The Bandbox women’s clothing department of Hearns department store at 14th St. and Fifth Ave. Continued the ad copy, “ ‘Sure, it’s my clothes,’ she said. ‘I always buy them at Hearns Bandbox because they always have all the smart things I want, at my price!’ ”

* More than 300 persons from six states around the New York area came to the Village to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union.

* More than 50 Villagers, members of the Greenwich Village Neighborhood Association, heard Richard S. Childs, president of the City Club, discuss charter revision at a meeting at Greenwich House.
