Mulch ado about old trees
East Villagers dropped off dried-out Christmas trees at Tompkins Square Park on Saturday and Sunday at the Parks Department’s annual MulchFest. The park was one of 35 chipping sites around the city. There were an additional 35 drop-off sites. Biodegradable bags were provided for people to take home some free mulch.
