Coffins on parade, Civil War hookup and Pee-wee
The Greenwich Village Halloween Parade was shortened a few blocks this year, but there was no shortage of freaky fun, plus the usual dose of costumed commentary on current events. Clockwise from above: A ghoulish procession passed St. Joseph’s Church on Washington Place; Johnny Reb and Billy Yank quietly crossed enemy lines for love; Pee-Wee Herman — who recently popped up at the W. Fourth St. basketball courts and on the High Line as part of his comeback tour — inspired a two-wheeled look-alike.
