What is your favorite lunchtime spot in Hudson Square?

^ Aarai Myers, 26, Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners

“The deli across the street, on the corner of Varick and King Streets, Dizzy Izzy’s. I get the Times Square sandwich – the mix of turkey, melted cheese and bacon is fantastic. I have it at least once a week to make sure I have a heart attack.”

^ Betsy Simons, 44, Euro R.S.C.G.

“The food vendor, on the corner of Varick and Charlton Streets. The grilled chicken pita sandwich is my favorite. It’s fresh, incredibly spicy and he’s a nice guy, so I like giving him business. He sells it for $5, which is a very reasonable price.”

^ Don Romaniello, 25, neighborhood dog walker

“I like the falafels the guy sells at the stand on the southeast corner of King and Varick Streets. He puts eggplant in it – whatever mix he has is particularly tasty.”
