School spirit shines at P.S. 41 auction and benefit
P.S. 41 held its Starry Night silent auction and gala at Bridgewaters in the South Street Seaport on Tues., March 24. Clockwise from above left: Alastair Smith, 41, bid on his fourth-grade son Duncans painting; Trish Russel and Tami Nagato, both 46, checked out the Fuzzy Nation/Fuzzy Couture dachshund handbag, which is no longer made and is a collectors piece valued at $200; Mariella DiIorio, who has a daughter in second grade at the Greenwich Village school, looked at the jewelry in the silent auction; Bob Caputo, 49, P.S. 41 school counselor, and school nurse Kathy Langer enjoyed a laugh in front of some student artwork for auction.
