Free classes going swimmingly
It may not be too late to learn to swim this summer.
There is one more free session of swimming and water-safety classes for tots (ages 18 months to 5 years old) and children (ages 6 to 14) in city swimming pools at the following pools:
Tony Dapolito Pool, at Clarkson St. and Seventh Ave. South; Hamilton Fish Pool, at Pitt and E. Houston Sts.; Dry Dock (Szold) Pool, at E. 10th St. and Avenue C; and Asser Levy Pool, at E. 23rd St. and Asser Levy Place.
Registration for Session 3 classes, which run from Thurs., Aug. 14, to Fri., Aug. 29, is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wed., Aug. 13.
The classes are from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in 30-minute or 45-minute sessions, which vary by age and ability.
