Religion overwhelms radicals

A group of young Hasids held a sing-in in Union Sq. on Saturday afternoon, upstaging a rally being held by the No Police State Coalition. The young group was celebrating Sukkot, a seven-day festival during which Jews live in temporary shelters to evoke the 40-year period of wandering in the dessert described in the Torah.
