Driver is helped out of a tight spot on the F.D.R.

Early on the evening of Sat., Dec. 22, a three-car accident on the southbound side of the F.D.R. Drive, just north of the Manhattan Bridge, resulted in one of the drivers being pinned behind his car’s steering wheel. Police and firefighters worked to free the trapped driver, above, and transport him to a hospital.
