Heavy hitter returns to Union Square

At the Union Square Partnership’s 2007 Education Program Luncheon at the W Hotel Union Square on June 4, Rob Walsh, commissioner of the Department of Small Business Services, center, was presented with a Louisville Slugger by Jonathan F. Fanton, president of the MacArthur Foundation and former president of New School University, right. The bat was part of the presentation to Walsh of the inaugural Norman Buchbinder Community Leadership Award. Walsh is a former executive director of the 14th St.-Union Square Business Improvement District, which, four years ago, was renamed the Union Square Partnership.
