Feeling the flow at Demo

Renovations are almost done at Father Demo Square at Bleecker St. and Sixth Ave. Final work is being completed on the square’s attractive centerpiece, its new fountain, above. The square, which is set to reopen soon, now also includes a low fence that will be locked at night. The landscape architect who designed the square’s renovation is George Vellonakis. It was Vellonakis who also did the redesign for Abingdon Square Park — as well as the redesign for Washington Square Park, which community members are battling in court.
