Hooping it up on Bowery

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus sent their Zunyi Troupe of acrobats from China (wearing teal) and clowns to perform a rare, private show last Wednesday for 70 children and their families at the Salvation Army’s Chinatown Community Center on the Bowery. Roberta Bouer, a Salvation Army spokesperson, said this is the first time the organization has worked with the famed show, but she’s hopeful it will become an annual event.
