Villager photo by Robert Kreizel Monday morning, a few hours after CBGB closed its doors for good, its iconic canopy had already been removed. Its facade and steel gates were quickly covered by graffiti listing famous acts who played there over the years. The canopy and the club’s interior décor are being stored — where they will be moved remains up in the air.
