Last Thursday, after a plot by homegrown British Islamic terrorists to blow up 10 America-bound jetliners with chemical bombs in bottles was thwarted, J.F.K. Airport beefed up security. Signs were posted warning that no liquids could be taken on board planes in carry-on luggage.
