It’s their party at Legends Awards

The stars were out at Village Care’s Legends of the Village Awards benefit at Strata. Among the honorees was Lesley Gore, top left, singing her big hit “It’s My Party” to Elise Laviscount, a contract administrator from Local 1199. Top right, veteran photographer Barbara Garson showed how it’s done, snapping some shots during the ceremonies. Bottom right, Ed Gold, a member of Community Board 2 and a Villager columnist, was also among the evening’s honorees. At bottom left, Rollerena, who was also dubbed a Village Legend, left, with guest Angelo. Village Care runs the Village Nursing Home and Rivington House and other programs and health facilities for seniors and people with H.I.V./AIDS.
