Last Wednesday night, the day after the tally of U.S. soldiers who have died in the ongoing Iraq War reached 2,000, antiwar protesters gathered for candlelight vigils in parks all over Downtown, including Washington Square, Union Square, Tompkins Square and even small Abingdon Square, as well as in Chelsea.
