The ‘reel story’ of 9/11 attacks
Forget J.F.K. and the grassy knoll.
The new conspiracy theory is 9/11 and involves such farfetched beliefs as, for example, that a “controlled demolition” — not hijacked jets — brought down the twin towers.
From now through Sept. 11 at St. Mark’s Church in the Bowery at 10th St. and Second Ave. on Sunday evenings, there will be a film series focusing on various themes related to the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Remaining films include on Sun., Aug. 21, “Unconstitutional: The War on Our Civil Liberties,” which investigates how civil liberties have been diminished under the Bush administration, and on Sun., Aug. 28, “Masters of the Universe: The Secret Birth of the Federal Reserve,” which purports to expose “the financial conspiracy behind the imperial agenda.” Discussions follow the film screenings.
