Fighting crime with fun

Aug. 2, National Night Out Against Crime, saw hot dogs, cotton candy, dancing, face painting and fun for all on Pitt St. by the Seventh Precinct. Other precincts around the city also celebrated. Because of the concern over the recent rash of deaths of bicyclists in traffic accidents, the East Village’s Ninth Precinct offered a bicycle safety seminar at its National Night Out.
