Among the celebrity customers at Village store, which had been on Greenwich Ave. before the present W. 10th St. address, were Andy Warhol, the sculptor Louise Nevelson and the set designer Robert Wilson. Entertainment celebrities who patronized Common Ground include Bruce Springsteen, Susan Sarandon, Robert DeNiro and Uma Thurman.
