Something old, something new at bike parade
As part of the Bicycle Film Festival, the 5th Annual Bicycle Film Festival Parade was held last Saturday. Starting out at Madison Sq. Park, some 50 cyclists took a varying route, until, an hour later, they ended up at Second St. between First and Second Aves., where the street was closed for three hours for a BMX stunt show and track bike competition. At left, an old high-wheeler; at right, Ellen modeled the latest in bike fashion, the orange police netting used to coral Critical Mass riders.
