A Little Leaguer took some cuts on the new Pier 40 field last Saturday.

Baseball caps were doffed for the singing of the “Star Spangled Banner.”

At the G.V.L.L. sign-up table, Margit Jensen, who also sang the national anthem, was joined by Coach Vincent Rotolo			Assemblymember Scott Stringer and Councilmember Eva Moskowitz, two candidates for Manhattan borough president, turned out at J.J. Walker Field for the G.V.L.L. Opening Day ceremonies.
