At least three shots were fired outside the Jacob Riis Houses on Avenue D on Wednesday night, leaving one woman injured.

According to the Daily News, a 53-year resident was sitting on a bench in front of the public-housing complex when she was hit by a stray bullet that pierced her left foot and grazed her right foot.

The gunfire reportedly broke out after two men argued outside the location, at E. 12th St.

“When she heard the first pop she felt something on her foot but she thought it was maybe glass or something,” the woman’s daughter told the News. “She didn’t realize she was hit until she started walking.”

The victim was treated at Bellevue Hospital and was in stable condition, but may need surgery for possible broken bones in her feet.

There have been no arrests.
