East Village residents Mari Tanaka and Bill Crable tied the knot Monday at Middle Collegiate Church in a ceremony presided over by Reverend Amanda Joy Rubin. In tribute to their neighborhood and their love of rock ’n’ roll, the couple took their formal wedding photo in front of Gem Spa. The St. Mark’s Place institution was made famous by the New York Dolls, who posed there for the cover shot of their 1973 debut album. Tanaka and Crable, who met in a vinyl collectibles shop in Japan where the bride was formerly employed, also enlisted their family to re-enact The Beatles’ “Abbey Road” cover on Second Ave.
