Cross crossing on Easter on E. Houston St.

Congregants from Church of the Nativity, Most Holy Redeemer, Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Mary’s Church walked the streets of the East Village and Lower East Side carrying the cross on Good Friday. Congregants of Church of the Nativity, on E. Third St., are fighting to keep their house of worship open in the face of a planned merger by the archdiocese.
