blotter
A screen grab from a surveillance video provided by police, showing the alleged attempted-rape suspect inside the E. Sixth St. building on Dec. 28.

Subway jerk
Police caught a guy with his pants down, literally, on Fri., Oct. 17, inside the subway entrance at the northeast corner of W. 14th St. and Sixth Ave.

At about 12:20 p.m., a cop observed James Hunt, 37, allegedly masturbating near the turnstiles. After arresting the man, police said they also found marijuana in his possession.

He faces misdemeanor charges of public lewdness, lewdness with intent to be seen and unlawful possession of pot. He also was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument after police found a bent MetroCard in his pocket.

Transit tension
Police found they had more than a misdemeanor on their hands after attempting to arrest a man for trespassing in a subway tunnel in at the station at Eighth Ave. and W. 14th St.

According to police, around 4:05 a.m., on Sat., Oct. 18, as a police officer arrested the alleged trespasser, several other people surrounded him. After the group failed to disperse, the officer called for backup.

But that didn’t cool things down right away. After the reinforcements arrived, Sharayne Bolar, 23, allegedly hit an officer on the right side of his neck. She also spat at an officer, police say. Bolar was charged with felony assault.

Rocky job interview
A 51-year-old man entered a city job center as a client, but his employment prospects may have decreased after he allegedly attempted to assault a security officer, a felony.

Police said that at about 9:15 a.m. on Wed., Oct. 15, the man let loose with an outburst of profanity, coupled with “loud boisterous actions,” then charged a female officer, 36, at the center, at 12 W. 14th St.

The officer, who is not with the New York Police Department, suffered a cut hand while arresting Luis Feliciano, 51.

Wrenching arrest
A man found crouching between two parked automobiles at about 1:40 a.m. on Fri., Oct. 17, was trying to strip parts from one of them, police said. The suspect, 44, quickly rose to his feet, and reportedly dropped an Allen wrench and pipe, when a police officer approached him in front of 25 Grove St.

One of the vehicles, meanwhile, was propped up by bricks that had been found nearby, with lug nuts on a front wheel already loosened.

Police arrested Nicola DeVito and said they found a screwdriver, gravity knife and a package of mail not addressed to him in his possession. He was charged with auto stripping, a misdemeanor.

Phone-y cop
After getting into a dispute in front of 77 Christopher St. on Sun., Oct. 19, a man called 911 at about 2 a.m. claiming to be a police officer. Once real officers had rushed to the scene, he admitted he was not with the N.Y.P.D., but only had claimed that because he wanted a faster response to his call.

Police arrested Joshua Brown, 21, charging him with reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor. According to the report, they also found three bags of marijuana in his right pants pocket, but apparently did not charge him for it.

Camera clash
After a man, 29, allegedly broke Wilbert Geronimo’s camera, what happened next wasn’t a pretty picture, police said.

At about 12:46 a.m. on Mon., Oct. 20, the men got into an argument over the camera near the southeast corner of Greenwich and Horatios Sts., according to police. Geronimo then chased the man down and allegedly assaulted him, causing cuts and bruises.

The victim went to the Lennox Hill HealthPlex, at W. 12th St. and Seventh Ave., for treatment. Geronimo, 27, was charged with misdemeanor assault.
