Rolex stolen
A 30-year-old Long Island man discovered his $10,800 gold Rolex was stolen from a compartment near his steering wheel upon returning to his car parked at a garage at 75 West St. in the Financial District at 6:30 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 16. The 2012 white sedan BMW was unlocked and the driver’s windows were down. Police say there was no surveillance video inside the garage.
Basketball steal off the court
A black and white Adidas backpack was swiped from a bench while a 47-year-old Brooklyn man played basketball at Rockefeller Park in Battery Park City on Sat., Aug. 16 at 2 p.m. He had left it unattended while shooting hoops. Inside the bag was a blue wallet and headset, his house keys, a 7-day unlimited Metrocard, a debit card, a ping pong paddle and his Samsung Galaxy S4 Phone worth $500.
Sweet-smelling cologne sting
Fourteen bottles of Abercrombie & Fitch men’s fragrances were filched from a store display and shoved into a shopping bag at 199 Water St. on Weds., Aug. 13 at 4:40 p.m. The cologne was valued at over $1,000. Police have arrested a 33-year-old man. Last month, police arrested a 45-year-old suspect for stealing cologne at the same Abercrombie at the Seaport.
Wallet grabbed at Starbucks
Police have arrested a 44-year-old man for snatching a 45-year-old New Jersey man’s wallet and credit cards inside of a Starbucks at 100 William St. in the Financial District at 11:45 a.m. on Fri., Aug. 15. The credit cards were used to make over $4,000 worth of purchases.
Subway grab
A 20-year-old Financial District woman entered the 1,2, 3 subway station at West Broadway and Chambers St. at 12:45 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 17. While at a newsstand to look a magazine, she put her wallet down and a man made off with her $400 black Rag and Bone wallet. Inside the wallet was $300 cash, a Bank of America card, an insurance card, a $200 Sephora gift card and a $230 DKNY gift card. Police say that the credit cards were cancelled in time.
Clothing dash
Three man dashed off with Adidas women’s clothing taken from two tables and one clothing rack in the front of the Soho store on 136 Wooster St.on Wed.., Aug. 13 at noon. The clothing, which included shorts, tees, track tops and sweaters, was valued at $2,170.
