Getting some leverage

The good old lever machines will be back in use for New York City’s primary elections on Sept. 10 and will also be in action for any run-off elections on Oct. 1. Poll workers are receiving a refresher in the use of the old-school mechanical voting booths, and also for the recently introduced optical scanners that will be in use for the November general election.
