Kurland vs. Johnson: Showdown in Chelsea

The two candidates in the race for the City Council’s Third District, Yetta Kurland and Corey Johnson, will face off in a debate at Bow Tie Cinemas (formerly Chelsea Cinemas), at 260 W. 23rd St., between Seventh and Eighth Aves., on Mon., Aug. 26.

The debate will be co-moderated by Paul Schindler, editor of Gay City News, and Lincoln Anderson, editor of The Villager.

The theater has a seating capacity of 275.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the debate is scheduled to end at 7:45 p.m.
