Singing out for Sandy relief on the Lower East Side

Local bands rocked out at Tammany Hall on Orchard St. last Thursday to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Erick Lee, of Modern Rivals, at left, joined guitarist Ben Martinez and bassist David Muehlenkamp, of Basement Batman, at right, along with Cultfever, Smokey Robotic and the Jacob Jeffries Band to turn harmonies and guitar solos into disaster relief. The benefit concert, which was organized by The Outlet, an East Village-based indie music collective, raised $600, all of which was donated to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.
