Witness to Hudson Square doings

Photos by Lincoln Anderson

Above, an Amish farmer sold his cheeses and other goods at a pop-up Greenmarket on the extra-wide sidewalk along Houston St., between Hudson and Greenwich Sts., outside the Saatchi & Saatchi Building last week. His booth was part of a three-day, temporary Greenmarket done as part of Climate Week NYC, a summit for businesses, governments and NGOs. The Hudson Square Connection business improvement district is looking for a permanent location for a Greenmarket in the neighborhood. Below, a few blocks away in Hudson Square, this Tuesday Andy Moore, left, and Phil Brannigan of Beacon Capital Partners celebrated the topping-out of the rooftop addition to 330 Hudson St., where Pearson publishing group, which includes Penguin, is slated for occupancy in October 2013.
