An illuminating argument

On Wednesday evening Sept. 19, on behalf of N.Y.U. Faculty Against the Sexton Plan, the Illuminator van projected slogans around Washington Square — including Bobst Library, above — decrying the university’s development and expansionist agenda. N.Y.U. FASP is fighting the university’s plan to add nearly 2 million square feet of development to its two South Village superblocks, and last week, along with 10 other groups, filed a lawsuit against the project.
