Quantcast

Scene, Week of Sept. 13, 2012

A peregrine falcon made a landing, and quite a stir, in Tribeca last month when it was spotted in a tree pit at Duane and Hudson Sts. opposite King’s Pharmacy. People were busy snapping photos of it with their cell phones and calling the Center for Animal Care and Control. Some mistakenly thought the 10-inch-long raptor was a red-tailed hawk. It wandered around the base of the tree and didn’t appear hurt, and soon flew off.   Photo by Milo Hess
