Alec Baldwin, star of “30 Rock,” was charged with punching Daily News photographer Marcus Santos in the face after Baldwin and his fiancée, Hilaria Thomas, came out of the Worth St. marriage license bureau on Tues., June 19, according to the tabloid.

The incident started when Baldwin threatened photojournalist Jefferson Siegel, a Daily News freelance photographer who is also a longtime contributor to The Villager and East Villager.

Siegel told the News: “He said, ‘Stay away from me, or I’ll break your f—– teeth.’ Then he grabbed my camera lens, and tried to shove my camera to the ground.”

Springing to Siegel’s defense, Santos told the actor, “Don’t touch him.”

Santos filed assault charges against Baldwin at the Fifth Police Precinct stationhouse.

Siegel’s photo of Baldwin attacking Santos made the News’s front page.

Siegel declined to comment further.

The case is under investigation.

Siegel both shoots and writes for The Villager and East Villager.
