Meeting on proposed changes for the Hudson River Park Act

The Hudson River Park Trust has scheduled a public meeting to update the general public about discussions on changing the Hudson River Park Act in ways that could affect uses in the Hudson River Park, such as allowing residential and hotel development on Pier 40, at West Houston St.

The meeting will include a presentation regarding the current state of the park’s finances, an overview of the Pier 40 study commissioned to provide ideas about possible development alternatives, and a  discussion of possible legislative changes affecting Hudson River Park.The meeting will include time for questions and answers, and the public will be able to provide their ideas about how the park can best meet its financial challenges. The meeting will be co-hosted by the Hudson River Park Advisory Council.

The meeting will take place on Thurs., May 31, at 7 p.m., at St. Paul’s Chapel, 209 Broadway between Fulton and Vesey Sts. Note: Public members may be required to show ID to get into the building.
